alone

[Echoes]

"i am afraid,"
she whispered to no one in particular
as rains misted her face
forming rivulets of tears
she herself
is unable to shed.

He took her from
beauty to absolute pain
and even then
she did not cry
but touched her forehead to his,
softly whimpering
as he commanded her to obey.

her mind imploded,
heart shattered,
soul sank,
bereft and alone
as she surrendered one last time
not understanding why
he would want to end it this way.

Now how can you say you can 'only' write poems... thank you for this one, it's sense of loneliness, and may there be many more to come.
