What do you think about the age demographics for BDSM?

We all know that the demographics of BDSM lifestyle is 45-55 31%, 35-45 49%, 25-35 15%, 18-25 3%, over 65 2%. Knowing these statistics are outdated, I think these numbers are subjected to change. As i seen younger people coming into this lifestyle myself included. When i started i was 18 i felt discriminated by OLDER doms. Now at 33 iam the proud owner of a 23 year old sub. I think the younger generation will bring youth to this lifestyle and also get rid of segregation of age color and race.

    Question:
Do you feel threatened by younger male doms?
Would you like to find a younger sub?
    How old are you?

Where on EARTH did you get these stats?? And... what type of BDSM lifestyle are we talking about here? "BDSM lifestyle" is an over-inclusive term... there's r/l, there's o/l, there's M/s, D/s, switching, there's gorean, old school, there's... would you like me to continue???

On top of which... I don't think "threatening" is really the word you may be looking for here... often times, what you are alluding to is circumstantial... so it completely is different person-to-person, situation-to-situation.

I originally thought this was a joke poking fun at the other demographics thread.

this is a great question because the truth is its all relative.
this may sound far fetched but - i first expressed interest at a very very young age, i think it was 13- im almost too
    embarassed to consider 12.

while i know all reactions will be the same, "omg wtf is a 13yr old girl looking at porn for, much less fetish porn."
and i cant answer that.. except by maybe offering the theory that, i was always mature for my age, (i know hard to believe for those who've met me via chat.)
i got into chatting super young, dont remember how. and from sites like teenspot and 123chat or w/e.. i went to yahoo chat.
where i met sydney. he was charming, intelligent, and when i pm'd him with my silly roleplay about pouncing on him, he responded with something about tying my hands and feet and dragging me off into his lair.

while it was meant to be comical, it was thrilling.
i guess ive always been a bit conceited, even before those who are clearly better than me.
and the idea of someone taking me down a peg is sexy.
fantasies of rape and torture came years later.

but the need for someone older, smarter and dominating was planted at a very very young age.
and now at 18.. im just trying to figure out how to act on the desires.

I was 24 before I got interested, though looking back, I can see some hints of interest before. I can totally see how someone could be older before they would get into the lifestyle, mainly because of the social stigma. With a lot of people, it was something they'd just never been exposed to, so it never crossed their minds that they might like it. Then when they are exposed to it, they like it and things get moving.

I definitely think younger people are starting to get into it more, since the info is more out there and kink is more accepted.

So what? It's only a few months old. What's the problem with continuing the conversation?

Nothing, except that in this case there was no conversation; this thread was...questionably respectable and I felt sorry that anyone was taking it seriously. The actual thread about BDSM demographics, the one that takes the topic seriously and with respect, is here:
