It was a battle between the kickers Saturday night in Athens as the Gamecocks beat the Georgia Bulldogs for the first time in six years.
ATHENS, GA (WIS) - The Gamecocks drew first blood in their game against the University of Georgia Saturday in Athens.

Senior Corey Boyd scored the first touchdown of the game, almost untouched as he ran into the end zone.

The touchdown likely didn't help USC Head Coach Steve Spurrier's reputation in Athens, where fans despise him for scoring 52 points against the Bulldogs while coaching at Florida.
