i'm very sorry for my short, generic, welcome message in your introduction thread. i'm usually more friendly than that. Since you mentioned wanting to post a story, i wondered if you'd noticed the The Writer's Society section of the forum threads? It's a place where the writers get together to help each other out with stories, ideas, and constructive criticism. You might find some value there. If you're more interested in meeting some people, i'd suggest the chat room or the fun & games area. We're generally a really fun bunch!
