Well i made the effort and read through some of the forums that caught my eye and in the end I see this is just not for me. I want to close down my account but I can not find any instructions anywhere. please advise.

I'm trying to figure this out. So far I can't duplicate it. Shows up correctly for me on 2 different comps and several browsers. Any more info on what you think is causing it would help.

Could the default "best viewed at nnn resolution" have changed?

Or is there a 'window width' for the size of box within which the post is displayed.

I've even seen an instance where the text overextended the display box with no way to bring it within the boundaries. but not today... I only saw that once or twice yesterday.

On my screen it looks like there is more empty black area on the right, and that the page is set closer to the left....so you have to scroll right to see the entire post, it is not centered.

Just my 2 cents..

it showed up for me like that too, but after i posted in the forums sometimes it would go back to normal, also sometimes when logging in it would give me two different log in places on the same screen

oh and as my owner mentioned it wont let me put my personalized title back up, when i was made a "Greeter" my "keeping the k in kajira" somhow disapeared and my details section of user cp doesnt have a place to correct it anymore

denu--your user title is greeter, and you're now in the greeter user group, so can't be changed, so that's why you get that.

As for the bizzare scroll problem... I am getting it as well. Using IE, Windows Vista.

Tiger, from my end... the problem seems to be that suddenly the front page auto-adjusted wide. It used to be that the "last post" column didn't match up on each group of subforums & now it does, lengthening the "forum title & description" column MUCH wider & hence the screen widening...

I am using safari as my browser and the screen is great sat in the centre there is a scroll bar at the bottom but i dont need it the screen is dead centre, good work guys.

Most people don't use safari... so, no. Not fixed yet.

Tiger, perhaps the default font is now somehow larger?

Don't know if it helps, but I'm using Firefox and my monitor resolution is set for 1152x864 pixels, and I am not having any problems.

When I switch to IE I lose part of the last column (either Posts, in the Welcome page, or Views in the Thread listings.) There's a scroll bar at the bottom to let me see these columns.

Maybe this will help you narrow down the problem.

Interesting, in that, for example, imported links such as the 7 jasmin links were smaller from left to right, but the board itself didn't change. Leads me to believe some set of 'appearance parameters' were changed or reinterpretted.

Yep, I'm getting that too. But I didn't really notice because it's much less obvious - the page appears just a tiny bit wider than the screen, and that bit is to the right side, so it slips from sight. Could be depending on the monitor of course (my monitor is old and hoary but effective, around 14" and I haven't updated the drivers for a long time). Using Windows XP, IE6 SP1 - and a second browser, Opera 9.50, where it looks completely okay.

Not that I am overly bothered but what is happening to the post counter?

I have just been browsing the forums and came accross Warbaby1948's last post. 2 days ago he finished up on 60,100 posts but it is now saying he has 59,974 posts and I also noticed that Master's... Sadistic1's post count has dropped as well from just over 30,000 posts down to 29,750 posts.

Is there a glitch in the system somewhere?

I second cg: noticed that the stats went past 33K last night but overnight it seems to have gone down with 300. Not a big issue as numbers go, but I'd like to know the post count is working reliably. Or have some old threads been deleted somewhere?

No one's threads are being deleted, they aren't going anywhere. The only place they get moved is down into the archives if they're over a yr old, and trust me, they still get counted into your post count. No one is magically going in & deleting your posts or threads--a.) we don't have that kind of time to waste, b.) it would serve no purpose, c.) refer to a & b.

We'll add it to the list of things to look at... But I can flat out tell you that right now we have about 20-30 other things on the list that far supercede the fact that the post counter is fluxing.

Posts aren't being deleted. I think that's the key to this one. Everything else is... well...

In your user control panel....choose the option edit my details.....scroll down there are windows for messengers then just save it.

go to edit your details and fill in the information on the bottom boxes for messaging info.

Hello all,

I need some instruction for entering the chat room using either the opera or the seamonkey browser.
whenever I click the tab a new window opens but remains blank. I have looked at the settings and I cannot see what is wrong, maybe some sort of java plug in is needed, but they seem to installed.
I would like to use firefox or IE, but they are both crashing the vista operating system.
Any help would be appreciated

log into java.com download the latestjava,,I beleive its version 9 or 10 should work after that.
