~ Passage of time Heals~
(.... Craving someone to play this with me....)

Resting her head against the window frame, she looked out the barred window. It would have been nice to feel the wind and sun on her skin, but few windows in the castle opened. Since that day three years, she did not have access to a room with windows that did not have heavy bars. There were very few times that she was allowed outside. Even then she had heavy chains on her wrist and guards that watched her very carefully. Master did not take the chance that she would try to escape. For the most part she had free reign of the castle, provided her escort guard was with her.
Anyone that might have seen her might say she was calm and collected as always. But inside she was a complete mess. Hands shaking, sick to her stomach, nervous, terrified. Today was the day. Like that day, he was not due in for a few more hours and each minute was like hell. Dragging on and on as she waited for his arrival. Three years and she was finally going to give him what he wanted. Another look at her wings.
It was not that she trusted him this day anymore than she did that day but she was tired. Three years she could have sworn she would endure whatever torture from him and never give him this one thing. Now she didn’t want to fight him anymore. She had already given him everything else years ago. Not all of it had been by force either. In fact he rarely asked her for anything. Even her wings, he had only asked once or twice, never pressing the issue. After that day, he never directly punished her for refusing to let him see them.
Always his punishment was fair and just. It was not to say that he did not occasionally go overboard with hurting her but it was not meant to be punishment, it was part of his pleasure in causing her pain. It was partly the reason she had so long refused to show him her wings. Master could easily damage them beyond repair. Or worse case, completely remove them. Shuddering at that thought, she fought to push down the sudden nausea.
These thoughts were going to make her loose her nerve. Not that Master would be disappointed; he did not yet know what she was planning. Three days she had been working on building up the nerve. Every time that she nearly talked her self out of doing this, she reminded herself she truly did not have that much to loose. If not to day, if not soon, it would come some day. It was not so much that she could not hold out, but she no longer had the desire to.
Hearing a faint sound behind her, she turned her head noticing Master propped against the door, watching her. Her breath caught in her throat, fear rushing through her body. This was almost the same as that first day. Heart beat a little too quickly, she turned her entire body toward him. Taking a step to him, she had to force the second and third step. Head bowed forward to look at the stone floor. Dark hair in her face, she was almost afraid to look at him, to see the look on his face. Finally falling to her knees, her wings spread as she fell. By the time she landed with a hard thud, her black wings were open. After a moment or two she let them settle against her back.
Time seemed to slow down to impossibly slow in the ensuing silence. “Master?” Whispering softly, she finally lifted her head a little to look at him. Unconsciously seeking some kind of reassurance.
