BMEzine (link above) is probably the best website for body mod pictures. They have some really outrageous piercings. My boyfriend has a book released by Bizarre magazine about body mods, that was quite a good read - had some history in it too - very interesting.

I hope that this thread also discusses implants, weight gain, and other, er, large-scale mods. My husband and I do a lot of play with breast expansion, which I have mentioned in a couple of my threads, and are planning for me to eventually get large breast implants (looking at 500 ccs, or two and a half cup sizes). I also have a close friend who is a feeder, which is of course also a kind of long-term, large-scale form of body mod.

With these modifications that can affect the subject's health and lifestyle, communication and risk awareness are especially important. That's why D and I are going through a long series of tests with different types of breast forms and pads to figure out how much weight I can support in my chest without back pain, as well as working on my posture to make sure that I'm carrying them in a healthy way -- because when it comes to body mods we'd rather be safe than sorry.
