Step Towards An Eternity

I have done nothing but make you frown
turning both our lives upside down
I go each day in ignorant bliss
bypassing what should not be missed

now I have to try to turn it around
and reverse that silly frown
each day your here with me
is another step towards an eternity

eternity is such a long long time
I want us to work it out fine
so we can be happy forever more
letting our hearts once again soar

towards eternity together in joyful bliss
I love you with all my heart pet
please please never forget

one day I will make you mine
it's just not the right time
but the time is drawing near

and then you will never again have to fear
traveling through eternity alone

really good tester - congratulations on dippig your toes into poetry so successfully

For many years the ignorance went on,
and at times i thought you were gone.

I tried to stay strong through it all,
but as time went on i curled in a ball.

i carried our problems through each day all alone,
i tried to tell you but you couldn't hear my tone.

You were gone in a smoke myst,
that swirled your head in bliss.

of no concerns for you and i,
and let responsiblity slip by.

Always happy while i laid and cried,
to make you see i tried and tried.

it took an illness to make you open your eyes,
and see my pain agony and fearful cries.

Now the evil is unbearable with in my soul,
my poems now show that evil took it's toll.

and out of the myst you finally come,
telling all the wrong you have done.

Have you left the agony and pain to long,
Your anger for the beast is it to strong.

Only time will tell as it goes by,
as all i want to do now is fly.

thank you for the poem Tester.. i am sorry it went this far... Maybe one day it will grow again .. but first i have to heal
