Congrats on the new piercing. I've often thought about getting my tongue pierced as well as my nipples...but seeing as I had pierced ears (did them myself too, the lobes and in the cartilage) 2 times and got bored with them...I'd probably do the same with the others.

A few of my friends have gotten them and they have a slight lisp for a short time until they learn to adapt their speech, and now they talk normally. Also your dentist will hate you if you leave the metal bar in there all the time, it'll wear away your enamel on your teeth. Plastic ones won't do that, but you have to keep an eye on them to be sure they're not stripping...would really suck to swallow a bar or ball....no pun intended. Just imagine the fun you could have with the vibrating tongue rings though
