I cry when you leave
Not knowing when I will see you again
Knowing it’s always too long
But closer than I realize

My heartaches for you
The love for you never ending
The need for you growing stronger
Only laying dormant while you are gone

When the ocean of time brings you to me
I will love thee more, for I need you
Salvage the pain of your departure
With the presence, of you
That only you can heal

No one is able to heal me like you
Can I wait for you to come back when life lets you?
Yes, for you are the keeper of my soul
I wait with love and empty arms

Oh gosh SB - that was incredible. I am sure I have said somewhere else that I am not generally a poetry person; but just sometimes a poem touches me deep as that did, and well, to use unpoetic language, wow.

I know that poetry, much like music, is very personal, and can only ever really be interpreted correctly by the author (maybe that's why I love it so much)

But this meant something to me for sure.
I've only ever fallen once for someone overseas, and everytime we spoke, I'd find myself getting down well before the conversation was over, knowing it would end soon.

Whether or not that's what was meant there, but that's where your poem got me!
