REQUIEM FOR A FRIEND
FOR d-m-l

When you sleep dream well as your name suggests.
In the depths of the night at the time of the ebb tide of the soul listen out for me.
You may hear me joyful in my plane, my plain of endless succulent grass.
I could run and run, pausing only to rest under shady trees ripe with sweet apples.
But I choose to stay close to the shore of the dreamsea
Hoping that I may catch a sight of you bathing in dreams
You watched over me more than twenty years
I have eternity. I have peace and I shall pass it over to you.
