Dreams

I dream of times beside you,
Dreams of eternities spent by your side,
Dreams of days and dreams of nights,
Dreams of you so pure and so right…

I dream of waking you with kisses,
Dreams of lying under stars with you,
Dreams of long lazy showers together,
Dreams so pure they seem true…

I dream of holding you all night,
Dreams of soft whispers and hushed words,
Dreams of warmth and safety,
Dreams of a life with you in this world…

I dream of tracing every curve on your body,
Dream of watching you breathe,
Dream of holding you close,
Dream of feeling your heart beating in your chest…

I dream of heaven on earth,
Dream of you and dream of us,
Dreams of life and dreams of paradise,
Dreams of hope and dreams of silence…

I dream of watching the sunrise,
Dream of praying before the moon,
Dream of watching you in the early morning sunlight,
Dream of a heaven so sweet it leaves me stunned…

I dream because it’s all I have left,
Dream as a last hope, Dream to survive,
Dream as my only pleasure, dream because I can,
Dream because I have nothing else to hold on to…

I dream because I need the hope,
I dream because I can’t help myself,
I dream so my sleep is peaceful,
I dream so I can be with you again…

I dream to see you again,
I dream because the reality seems to be the same,
I dream because it’s the only heaven I can imagine,
I dream because I pray that it comes true

So I dream. Perhaps it is in vain. Perhaps it may really be too good to be true. Perhaps I will get to feel you beside me. God only knows I want to. I pray, I do. The thought of dreaming until I am dead is terrifying. Yet I dream, because with heaven so close and yet so far, I cannot help but dream. Come to me soon… Yours in every way, Vivek.
