Conversation Between ready and Solis

My ready mind and all, I have no ready reply for that.

[on the first day I posted a whimsical passage, beginning:] Is this how old Ebeneezer felt, then? Tapped by a fey spirit, beneficent, darkling, sparkling? The old . . . [But you did not come. On the second day I quipped:] You know, "ready" comes from a proto-Germanic (!) root, meaning "arranged." "Arranged to please" (?) Hmmmm . . . [And on the eve of the third day, I lifted mine eyes to the east, and there was a note:] And the note was good, and my day was complete. Thank you, o' remarkable ready.

I was driving to work today, listening to an "oldies" station, when Ricky Nelson (!) made me think of you: "But it's all right now, I've learned my lesson well . . . You see, you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself." I hope things are going . . . uh, pleasingly for you and that your browser woes are behind you. (I use an entirely separate program, Opera with private tabs, for "recreational browsing" and it seems to work quite well.)
