When D and I first explored the idea of a BDSM relationship, we agreed that he would not make me do anything that would damage my education, my relationship with my family, or my dancing. I'm out of school now(for the meantime; heading to grad school next year), and gradually things have moved into areas where my family has been effected (started a thread on that subject a couple of weeks ago), but my dance classes and performances are still my time. As an artist, I couldn't function without that small amount of independence.
