Midlands is a bit south from Yorkshire -but not much I was thinking somewhere between Birmingham and Manchester ish area may be good. If anyone else has any suggestions for pinning down a location please let me know. I am looking at travellodges etc at the moment[

Manchester is a bit far for me.. like 4 hours drive and thats not taking into account the traffic

the next weekend after the 10th would work better for me, my brother wants me to be in London then. I can wiggle out of it, of course, but if nobody else has a problem with it, i would prefer the weekend on the 17th.

OK so the UK meet will be on 17th October - Birdy has kindly sent me some links to hotels in Warrington area which I am checking out also looking into travel lodges. Could i maybe recommend the holiday inn (stoke south) at j15 of the m6? as hat is technically the highest point of the midlands without been the 'northwest' region
